Features — Flexible recording options
Recording is split into two modes: Motion Capture and Continuous Capture. These can be activated separately, at specific times of the day and week, based on schedules that you can define.
Motion Capture is triggered by various events, such as video motion detection, audio detection, or camera/HomeKit events (e.g. Passive Infrared (PIR) or door/window sensors).
Recording happens locally to you, using any drive connected to your Mac (internal, USB, Thunderbolt, DAS, NAS). Local recording provides significant benefits over cloud recording: excellent performance, total privacy and control over your data, and no ongoing cloud storage fees.
