Doorbird

Hoping some one can help me. I have just got a Doorbird, intercom and am wanting to record the video camera that is attached. I have had a little look at the api and have inserted the line http:///bha-api/video.cgi (with the IP address) as listed, but I don't seem to be getting a video feed. If I put it into a browser I get the video showing up. Could some one have a little look and tell me what I am missing? Its a very short API available at https://www.doorbird.com/downloads/api_lan.pdf?rev=0.9

Thank you

  • Here is how you would set this up in SecuritySpy:

    - In the Cameras section of the Preferences window, create a new network device.
    - Under the Device tab, set the device type to "Manual configuration”.
    - Enter the camera's IP address but leave the Port fields empty.
    - Enter the camera’s username and password
    - Select HTTP from the Format menu.
    - Enter video.cgi as the Request

    Does this work?
  • Hi, thanks for the answer. I just gave that a try and no joy still. I also ticked the SSL and tried that just encase and that still didn't sort it.
  • Wouldn't the request be more of the URL scheme like...

    bha-api/video.cgi
  • Yes! Thank you so much thats spot on the picture is showing!
  • Sorry about that mistake above, thanks @guykuo for the correction!

You may additionally be able to get audio with this setup:

    - Change the Format to HTTP-over-RTSP
    - Specify 8557 as the HTTP port
    - Enter mpeg/media.amp as the Request

    Does that work?

Audio parameters above do not work for me. Video ones, as corrected, do.
