SecuritySpy is using more and more RAM

MacMini M2 pro, 16 GB RAM, macOS 26.3.1, 5 cameras, 4 of which provide night-time surveillance using AI.

SecuritySpy's main memory usage is increasing day by day:

App restarted

Day 1: Activity Monitor: 558 MB SPs dashbord shows: 113 MB

Day 2: Activity Monitor: 4,2 GB SPs dashbord shows: 1,5 GB

Day 3: Activity Monitor: 7,8 GB SPs dashbord shows: 430 MB

Day 4: Activity Monitor: 11,6 GB SPs dashbord shows: 830 MB

The data was always recorded at 8 o’clock in the morning. At that time, no detection was active. Does anyone else have a similar problem?

Thanks.

  • Interesting. I just had a look (running SS 6.19b7) and it's using 6.10GB on my Intel Mac (Sequoia 15.7.4).

  • This is a known bug in earlier 6.19 beta versions - please update to the latest beta (currently 6.19b10) as this should fix it. There is also a (far less severe) memory leak issue in the current 6.18 release that is fixed in this latest beta. This will be released as an official 6.19 update this week, so feel free to wait for this if you prefer.

  • Installed version is 6.18, no beta. I'm waiting for the version 6.19.

    Thanks

  • Thanks, Ben. I did update to the latest beta.

  • Version 6.19 has just been released and is available from the SecuritySpy download page.

  • Hi, the issue was resolved with the update to version 6.19.

    Thanks.

  • Great to hear that, thanks for reporting back.
