Setting a camera motion capture pref back to manual does not disarm the motion capture
I start SecuritySpy with a particular USB camera having the motion capture in manual control mode and the SS camera info window shows it as unarmed/online. I then set the motion capture to armed all the time for that camera and apply and that works. However, when I set the motion capture back to manual control and apply that change the camera info window still shows it a M armed. This seems like a bug. I'm running v4.1.6.

This is not a bug. There are two separate settings that you need to be aware of:
Each mode (motion capture, continuous capture and actions) can either be Armed or Disarmed. If motion capture is Armed, SecuritySpy will capture video when motion is detected. If motion capture is Disarmed, it won't capture any video.
Then, you have the Schedule feature, whereby you can set each mode to be Armed or Disarmed automatically at various times of the day. Setting a schedule to "Manual control" simply means that you are going to set the Armed/Disarmed status manually, and that it won't be set automatically on a schedule.
So, in the "Manual control" state (i.e. without a schedule), you will have to manually set the Armed/Disarmed status whenever you want to change it. This can be done via the Control menu or by right-clicking on a camera's video feed.
Check out the Getting Started section of the user manual for more information. -
Thanks for the help, I understand now.
