Automatically open group?

I have my Mac set to automatically log on and open up Security Spy. Is there a way to make SS automactially open up a group and go full screen upon the launch of the application? I have a group I always want on the screen and it would be nice to have it come up after a reboot. Of course all runs fine and records after a reboot, I just have to manually open the group. Thanks much.

  • Mine opens the 2 groups I have (Interior and Exterior) each time it starts up.

It should be possible to use Applescript as a login item with the account to give the full screen command (likely after a delay of at least 20-30 seconds to make sure everything is running before trying to full-screen)
  • Thanks for the response. I did reboot with all shut down after some maintenance and I expect that if I had rebooted with the windows already opened, they will reopen where they were. I will try that now

File this one under "totally solved." Thanks BrianM. After forcing a reboot with the window open and where I wanted it (monitor 2) SecuritySpy opened perfectly automatically after the reboot with the group I wanted and the monitor I wanted. I was "overthinking" it and about to write a script to do what it already does. I just had not forced a reboot while SecuritySpy was running. Works perfectly as is.

Thanks Ben for software that does exactly what I need and want and runs perfectly.
