Adjust Thumbnail for Captured Footage

I have SecuritySpy working in conjunction with Indigo which turns on the lights at the front door when there is motion in the camera. The problem is that the thumbnails of the captured footage are all overexposed because it takes a few seconds for the camera to adjust back to the increased light. This results in many of the thumbnails in the web browser overexposed. Would it be possible to add the ability to offset the thumbnails of the captured motion footage by a set amount of seconds (plus or minus)? Thus we could adjust the thumbnail to grab the frame just before the light turns on.

  • Unfortunately not - SecuritySpy uses as the thumbnail the first frame for which there is motion, which is the best one is most circumstances. The only thing I can think of would be for you to add a short delay (e.g. 0.5s) between SecuritySpy detecting motion and the light being triggered - this way the thumbnail image should be captured just before the light goes on.
  • Great idea!
