Browser image freezes playing movies at 4x speed

Movie image freezes at 4x speed but time indicated on timeline moves along properly. All other forward speeds work fine. 4x speed freezes when speed is increased from 2x to 4x but 4x speed works when speed is slowed down from 8x to 4x. The same problem occurs when going backwards in time. It freezes at -4x when speed backwards is increased from -2x to -4x. This problem was first noticed with version 4.0.0 and still occurs with 4.0.7

    This is very strange - are you saying that 2x and 8x speed both work fine, but not 4x speed?

    That's the case for me. 2x and 8x are fine. Changing from 8x to 4x works fine, but changing from 2x to 4x most of the time freezes at 4x.
