Current V4 issues?

Hi

Do you have a list of current issues being investigated?

I am still seeing browser crashes and Error Failed to decompress incoming video frame 22185,-8969 Image data decompression failed - bad data)

A list of what is being investigated and areas where you still require example logs may aid progression to a stable version.

    Hi Phil,

    Thanks for your feedback. The main problem we're still investigating is Browser crashes. We're not convinced at the moment whether the "bad data" messages are a problem with SecuritySpy itself, or a more general problem with cameras or network. Did you notice a rise in the "bad data" messages when moving from version 3 to version 4 at all?

    Yes I've reverted back to 4.0.2b5 for a stable picture, the hikvisions seem fine on this, although you may see some errors it seems SS always reconnects the the cam and the errors are not seen other then in the logs.

    I'm getting an "Error 8873 (see Log)".
    The log says:

    07/13/2016 17:32:25: Error communicating with the network device "Camera 3 SW > SE". 4.0.2,8440,8873 Failed to obtain video frame from network device.

    All the lights on PoE router look normal, as does everything else. I just did V4 upgrade.

    Any advice?

    Hi Warren, this indicates that you are using the ONVIF profile for the camera, and that the stream number you have selected in the Preferences -> Cameras -> Device window does not exist. Please click the "Choose Stream" button in that window, and select a valid stream.

    Error from camera "Cam1", it will be closed. (Failed to decompress incoming video frame 22185,71042 Decompression failed)

    This happens for every cam until the picture comes up. Its working then but like this the log window gets a nag window. I see this on a client Securityspy install.

    Hi @roads, are you saying you get a bunch of these errors, but then the picture comes up and is stable?

    What make/model cameras are these?
