Camera Info

Hello Ben,

the new release of SecuritySpy is really well done!
In the Camera Info I noticed that the status of my cameras is not updated. Thus, the "M" does not show up in red when Motiondetect is activated or the "Motion" display is not not removed during deactivation.
Still, I'm thrilled!

Best wishes
Michael

  • Hi Michael,

Great to hear you like the new software!

This is not a known problem. What should happen is that the "M" in the Camera Info window is grey when that mode is armed but no motion has been detected. Then, when motion is detected the "M" will turn red to indicate this.

Is this not what you are seeing? How are you determining that motion detection has been triggered?
  • Hello,
    I have attached screenshots:

In the example MD is turned on, it does not appear in the Camera Info.

  • Hi Michael,

Thanks for the screenshots, this is very odd! I can't reproduce, and can't see how this is possible looking at the source code. Please try this:

    - Open the Preferences window
    - Turn OFF the "Video motion detection" options for all active cameras
    - Close the Preferences window; save the preferences
    - Open the Preferences window and turn ON the "Video motion detection" options
    - Close the Preferences window; save the preferences

    Does this fix it?
  • Hello Ben,

unfortunately I could not see a change.

I've tried the latest beta, also no change.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Michael,

OK, thanks for trying that. So that we can investigate further, please hold the alt (option) key when clicking on the File menu in SecuritySpy, and under the Debug section, choose "Create Debug File On Desktop". This creates a file called "Debug File" on your desktop; please email it to us. Thanks.
