PTZ Problem
I have three Vivotek POE PTZ dome cameras (all the same model and firmware) which have all been working well under SecuritySpy. Now, PT will not work on two of the cameras. The third works still. I have used the Vivotek software to check the cameras and PT works on all of them using this software. Any ideas what might be the problem or how I can get more detail to get to the problem?

So pan/tilt used to work for these cameras in SecuritySpy but no longer does?
Have you changed the version of SecuritySpy you are using at all?
There is an option in the Video Device Settings window to disable PTZ for particular cameras - is this checked for any of your cameras?
Make sure you are using the cameras' admin username and password in SecuritySpy, as this is often required for PTZ control. -
I just checked the log (should have done so sooner but I am just getting familiar with SecuritySpy) and saw the log entries below. I have re-entered the password into the settings and PTZ is now working for the two cameras. I must have changed them at some point but I thought that authentication is used to get the video so it didn't occur to me that user/password would be an issue.

Glad to hear you got it working. It's quite common for cameras to require a higher level of authentication for PTZ than for merely viewing video (I.e. administrator login rather than viewer/user login), so this must be the case with your cameras.
