Continuous record, low quality videos always very short
I have SecurityServer continuously recording to disk for two camera. When at work I sometimes log in via the web interface and view past videos (set to record in 1 hour intervals).
I have noticed the High Qualities are perfect, although 1.8Gb in size a little cumbersome to scrub through from the office. When I select the Low Quality alternative it's only contains 4 minutes of footage and then ends (600Kb).
Its not a big problem just wondered what could be the reason? Is the Low Quality created on-thefly from the HQ when I request it?

Hi - yes the LQ videos are created on-the-fly from the HQ videos (and then cached for a while so that subsequent requests for them are instant). They are limited in size, to provide short load times over the internet, and therefore are limited in duration. We will be increasing the size limit soon (or possibly make it user-adjustable) so this could help in your situation, however there has to be some sort of limit otherwise they will take too long to generate, and too long to transfer, which would defeat the purpose.

Perfect, understood. Many thanks!
