I've been having a meltdown with lowlight/ nightime performance partly because of a camera that initially impressed me then fell completely out of favour because of it's low light performance and because SS seems to have issues with it.
So trawling exhaustively through all three cameras to optimise my capture settings I've come to the conclusion that I need completely different preferences for low light / nightime and daytime. So my question is can Bensoftware offer a GUI command to save and access user-defined preferences for different conditions insrtead of having to re-enter these every morning and evening. I could I suppose create my daytime prefs and drag SS 'daytime'.plist file to the desktop, then create a nightime pref and drag a copy of that to the desktop and simply double click each as it's needed. That wil work for me but I think it's decent idea for SS to allow a GUI command for such a strategy

This can be done using a simple AppleScript, which I can help you create. Is this the camera that you mentioned in other threads, that you have now returned?

Thanks Ben i'm waiting on the Hikvision. There's a more detailed answer in my other thread about SS capturing H264 at 320x240, sorry for cross-posting threads, I've been doing a lot of investigating from one camera to another and given you quite a few questions.
