Time out issues

All of a sudden my camera is not communicating with Security Spy (and I even upgraded to 3.x) I keep getting timeout errors. I can connect to camera via web interface with no issues so I know that it is configured correctly on DYNDNS.ORG.
I have insured that log in information is correct as well as the other settings. Security Spy detects the camera - as the sound bar is moving in the configuration page when it detects sound. Any ideas??

  • The log is of no help on this:

09-04-2013 1030-35: Error communicating with the network device "Office" 3.1.1,70900,800 The operation timed out
  • A timeout error indicates that either the address information or port information that you have entered for the camera in the Video Device Settings window in SecuritySpy is incorrect. If you email us a screenshot of the Video Device Settings window, showing the camera's setup in SecuritySpy, we can look into this further for you.
  • Just sent - thanks!
  • Great, thanks. To follow up for anyone else following this thread, the problem was with the port forwarding of the router at the camera location. It's now been fixed with some adjustment of the router settings.
  • I have been using Security Spy for a few years with no problems, with two cameras. Each camera is connected by an Allnet PLC POE (model 163208). One of the Allnet units stopped working and I replaced it. When I plugged it in, the camera was immediately recognised and displayed on security spy but after 1-2 minutes it disappeared and I got the repeated timeout error. If I unplug and re-plug in the Allnet, the same thing happens--I see the camera with security spy and after 1-2 minutes it continues timing out. The settings are the same as the other camera and the other camera continues to work. Any help please? Thank you!
