False positves due to sun/shadow

When the sun comes out my camera triggers though nothing else happens. :/
Is the any best practise for coping with contrast changes?

    Hi Ronald,

    Firstly, please make sure you are using the latest version of SecuritySpy, as newer versions have much better motion detection than older versions.

    Next, make sure that the camera's view does not include any sky. Point the camera downwards towards the area of interest.

    Then, use the motion mask feature to mask out any plants or other objects that might sway in the wind (draw green over areas to ignore, in the Setup section of the Camera Settings window).

    Finally, if you are still getting false-positive triggers, try increasing the "Trigger time" setting (again in the Setup section of the Camera Settings window).
