securityspy problem with logitech c920 on osx 10.7.5

My logitech c920 (on mac mini with osx 10.7.5) works with photobooth, and skype, no problem. The first time I ran securityspy, the logitech camera worked fine (could see live image in monitor window of securityspy). But that was only time. Now logitech shows up in camera list of securityspy but monitor window has message saying timeout, and no image appears.

Is there some variable to reset? I can see camera fine with logitech camera settings program.

    Hi, the first thing to check is that you are using the latest version of SecuritySpy. If that doesn't fix it then a reset of the settings is the next thing to try: quit SecuritySpy, then open it again while holiding the cmd+alt keys together (cmd+opt on some keyboards). SecuritySpy will ask if you want a preferences reset: click Yes.

    Does this resolve the problem?

    I'm having the same problem with the same camera. What was the fix?

    Never mind, I figured out the issue. I had removed and re-added the camera somehow and this caused the camera to disappear from my group. The camera was still working fine it was just not being displayed in my group so I mistakenly thought there was a bigger issue. Now that I've corrected the group it all works fine.
