Error report - File does not exist
Security Spy sends me a daily summary and error reports-- definitely an excellent feature. In recent weeks though, I've been getting email error reports with this content (referencing many different cameras throughout the day).
"Unable to process backup file "2026-01-11 19 C Cave HD5.sbf" - if you have experienced a crash or a power outage, this may have corrupted this movie file. File does not exist. 6.19,70660,4"
That's a true statement; that file does not exist. It's not useful though, because my system only holds video files for about 2 weeks-- every day I get about 8 or 10 of these emails referencing different cameras. I don't see an obvious way to suppress these messages in Preferences. Can you recommend me a "reset" or something to tell it that it's OK that the "ancient" file doesn't exist. Yes, there was likely a power outage, and yes, the file does not exits, I don't need to be told about it many times each day.
Thank you for any guidance.

Sounds like something went wrong mid-January that left this errant backup file in place, which now can't be processed because its associated recording has long-since been deleted. To clear it, select the menu option at SecuritySpy > Debug > Clear Old Backup Files. This should stop the messages.

Wow. Looks like I just needed to dig deeper in the menu options-- of course you created a solution! Thank you, as always, for your help. I'm sure that fixed it. Fingers crossed.
