Viewing captures on iPhone

I recently installed a second SS at another home and I can view cameras fine but cannot access captures. I get the message "You do not have permission to view captures for any cameras." Any idea how I do get access? No problems viewing captures on my iPhone for my first home. Thanks.

    This points to a permissions issue with the particular web user account in use here. Go to Settings > Web in your new SecuritySpy server, edit the user account that you are using, and make sure that it has access to captures. The easiest thing here would be to make this an Administrator account, which would give you full access to all iOS app functions.

    I was just running into this same problem on my iPhone. Changing the web user account to Administrator did work. However, shouldn't the 'View' Permission Type have worked as well? That's what I previously had.

  • Hi Mike - the "View" permission refers to viewing live video only. For captures, you will need the "View, Download" permission, or Admin, or custom.

    But I can see why this isn't clear. Perhaps we need to change the permission naming to "Live" and "Captures" instead of "View" and "Download" - we'll consider this for the next update.
