No Human Motion Captures on Amcrest and Reolink

I added an Amcrest and a Reolink camera, however it doesn’t seem to capture Humans on both whilst it works fine with my Hikvision cameras. Any ideas?

  • This is likely a settings issue. So that we can assist you, please email us and include a debug file (SecuritySpy menu > Debug > Create Debug File On Desktop). Let us know in your email the names of the cameras you are referring to.

  • Ben, I have the same issue with Dahau cameras. motion works but get "no captures" when selecting Human Motion Capture Movies.

  • Hi @brenna I have just replied to your support ticket. For other users with similar problems who find this page:

To detect/capture humans only (rather than all motion)

Settings > Cameras > Triggers: add Video Motion Detection as a trigger (if not already there) and enable the Human option.

To be able to filter recordings by object type (Human / Animal / Vehicle) in the web interface and iOS app:

Settings > Cameras > Triggers: enable both the options Save motion data for future search and Save AI data for future search

  • I have both Amcrest and Reolink cams, and human capture has worked well on both. I also have the script actions enabled so SecSpy sends an http get request to my Hubitat C8 when a human/vehicle is detected which toggles a virtual motion sensor, and then from there the Hubitat does a bunch of stuff (sends me text alerts and speaks via Alexa etc). It's pretty awesome.
