Proper Procedure for iPhone App server settings After Power Failure
in SecuritySpy
Had a Power failure yesterday. And now I can't view my cameras on my iPhone SS app (connection Failed) unless I'm on my WiFi. (...Maybe Router IP changed?)
This has happened in the past and it was always an issue to get the app to reconnect over the internet. I tried this morning but couldn't get it to work. Once I figure out the procedure this time - I'M WRITING IT DOWN!
So, on my MAC in Security Spy
- I re-tested the xxx.viewcam.me and it is green (good)
- Clicked "How to access over internet" and it showed xxx.viewcam.me:8001
In the iPhone App
- I deleted the current server settings and added a new server (found over Wifi/bonjour) and it connects fine while over the WiFi (can view cameras). But not over the internet. The settings only show the following 3 connections: xxx.local.:8001 xxx.local:8001 and xxx.viewcam.me:8001
- In my next attempt I deleted the current settings and then manually added "+ a new server". I entered Address: xxx.viewcam.me:8001 and Port: 8001 and left the username and Password empty. It did not connect. I also tried with providing my username and password. It did not connect.
Can you help me with the proper procedure to reset the Server settings on the Security Spy iPhone App?
Thanks

Also on SS on MAC I have:
Enable web Server: HTTPS on Port 8001
Automatic port forwarding: Auto configure for HTTPS
