Downtime messages with no downtime?
Received two downtime messages, one at 2:10am EST and the other at 2:50am EST and an up message at 3:12am EST. Everything I check on the server i.e. uptime, data to the continuous capture disk, network traffic over the last 24hr, process runtime, syslog data, all do not show any interruption in service. My router has two different wan connections so it should have a connection. Did any of the Security spy servers have an issue? Running 5.5.10. Thanks

The way this system works is that SecuritySpy makes "check in" connections to our server every 9 minutes or so. The server records these, and if it sees that a particular SecuritySpy instance has failed to check in twice in a row, it will send you a downtime warning.
We have had no know server issues recently, and our SecuritySpy test systems that we run continuously with this function enabled have not exhibited erroneous warnings, so I don't think the issue is on our end.
The first thing to check is whether the downtime was real, but it sounds like you have checked this and ruled it out (SecuritySpy's Dashboard feature is a good way to check this).
The other cause would be a temporary problem with your Internet connection that would have prevented SecuritySpy from making outgoing connections to the Internet for a short period of time.

Following up, the cable modem log showed critical error entries during that time frame. Which is disappointing. There were no Wan state changes in the router log, so no Wan failover. The Netgear cable modem is new, about a month old. I will have to monitor it and if it keeps occurring it will be replaced. The Surfboard it replaced ran 7/24 for 5+ years without issues. The Dashboard showed no interruptions in services.
