Homekit question
Hi,
Wanted to check this question before downloading home helper and spending time messing about.
I have a Philips hue strip light at the front door where I also have a camera, the light appears in HomeKit and I can control it from there.
Can I use the motion detect trigger from security spy to tell the home kit light to come on and off again once the motion detect trigger has gone off ?
Thanks James

Also, if HomeKit has automations set up for the light can you get conflicts between the HomeKit automation and instructions from Home helper ?

Hi James,
Yes, HomeHelper can be used to turn this light on/off based on a trigger from SecuritySpy.
Yes, you can get conflicts when two things are controlling the same accessory. HomeHelper has a setting to put the light back to its previous state, or a specific state (e.g. off) after a certain time after the trigger. If you also have an automation controlling the same light around the same time, the result can be unpredictable. To avoid this, you could have two separate LED strip lights: one controlled by SecuritySpy/HomeHelper and the other controlled by your Home automation.
