Upgraded to the latest Ventura 13.4 today - and lost my separate SS network
I had my SS network hanging off of my MAC (192.168.2.x), so it was separate from the rest of my local network. Ran great for a long time.
Well, I just installed the latest Ventura 13.4 update, and now I lost my SS network. All my 192.168.2.x cameras hanging off my mac are gone. It seems my USB 10/100/1000 LAN is no longer connected.
Now I need to figure all this out again...
I hate updates...

Annoyingly, macOS system updates can sometimes change network configurations. It doesn't happen often, but I've definitely seen it happen. So the first thing to check is that the IP details for both Ethernet interfaces is the same as how you had them set previously. I hope you manage to easily find the solution!

Thanks
Was looking for the instructions on how to set up a stand a lone network off my MAC. I remember having them. But can't seem to find them on the SS site now. Can you point me to them? This time I will save them!
Will let you know

Here's the article you're referring to: Segregating IP Cameras on their own LAN

Thanks
So My System/Settings/Network does not have a "Thunderbolt to Ethernet Bridge" in other services. And not sure how to get it back.
The "Add Service" options only include "ethernet", Thunderbolt 1", "thunderbolt 2", "USB 10/100/1000 LAN" and Wifi".
So far I have not been able to set any of them up that will allow the connection to go green....

ugghhhh
After hours...
Moved the LAN cable from my Thunderbolt port to a different slot on my SS switch.
Then picked "USB 10/100/1000 LAN" from the "Add Service" options.
Changed the TCP accordingly and .... it now works.
WTF.... Did one slot on my switch fail at the exact moment i updated Ventura?
Anyway... no more updates for a while...
Thanks

Glad you found the solution. It could have been an issue with the switch then. Unlikely that one port actually failed - perhaps just a configuration issue and a restart of the switch may restore that port? Bit of a strange one!

I suspect it may be disconnecting the USB device and reconnecting it (possibly on a different USB port?) that caused it to suddenly appear. Try the old port on the switch now that it's working. I've had very frustrating and disappointing experiences with Ventura losing interfaces as well.

I am not a fan of Venture at all. Lots' of moving around of important settings, but no real usability improvements and some added quirkiness for sure. Never seen so many kernel panics.
