Keyboard shortcut to save images

Hi,

would it be possible to get a keyboard shortcut for saving images?

Also it would be fine to get the possibility to change the zoom speed seperate from the pan/tilt speed.

Best regards

Silas

    Hi Silas,

There is no keyboard shortcut for saving images, because a user's system may have large numbers of cameras, and it isn't practical to have a keyboard shortcut for this function for each camera.

I see that you are asking about ViewCam, but if you instead switch to our other software SecuritySpy, you will be able to capture an image file from a particular camera by dragging an image from any video window to the Finder - this is very quick and easy.

Alternatively, if you need to capture a bunch of image files from one particular camera in an easy one-click way, you could look at the AppleScript solution entitled "Button Click Image Capture" on the SecuritySpy AppleScript Examples page. But again, this applies to SecuritySpy and not ViewCam.

As for a separate zoom speed control, this isn't an option at the moment, but I understand that this could be useful for some cameras, so we will see if we can add this in a future update.
