Retail Store Viewing
We are using SS in both a home and retail environment in the same building. What would be the best way to view cams in the retail store with SS running on a Mac in our office? I thought maybe an appleTV would be possible but we need something that is really reliable. I can run what ever cable is necessary.

This depends on the distance between the Mac running SecuritySpy and the location where you want to view the feeds. You could connect an HDMI monitor directly to the Mac using a high-quality cable that can be up to around 15m (50ft) long. Longer than that and you could use an HDMI extender system that employs an active box at each end to transfer the signal over UTP (Ethernet-type) cabling - this can get you 100m (330ft) or more.
As you say, there is also the possibility of an Apple TV, which connects back to your SecuritySpy Mac over your local network (ideally Ethernet, but WiFi will work well if the signal is strong). The direct monitor connection is more reliable as there is less to go wrong with this setup, but the Apple TV solution will also be very reliable. A further advantage of the Apple TV solution is that you can then control it with its remote to adjust the live view and also access recordings.

I have a dedicated Apple TV on permanently for SS. Even though I'd like to, I can't get ethernet to it but the wifi is well laid out and its very reliable.
