REOLINK E1 PRO - DOES NOT CONNECT

Hi all, I've tried all various permutations of settings and profiles and so forth and have not had much luck adding this camera. I did read somewhere that they might come with ONVIF deactivated by default, but there is no setting to activate ONVIF using the Mac Reolink app nor the mobile version of the app. I do not have access to Windows at all, so hopefully that is not the solution.

My settings are:

Address: local IP address 192.168... etc.

ONVIF/HTTP port: 8000

RTSP port: 554

Username/Password (same one I use to connect to the cameras on the mobile and mac apps).

Profile: ONVIF

Format: RTSP (video and audio) ... but have also tried other variations.

Video size/frame rate (blank)

Input or stream: 1 (though I've tried various).

Anything I can do folks?

Thanks a lot for any help you can provide.

  • Does the camera appear under the "Auto-Discovered Devices" button in SecuritySpy under Preferences > Cameras > Device? If so, this means that ONVIF is enabled on the device, and it should be just a case of selecting it (so that the Address box is automatically filled out with a "uuid" address), entering the correct username/password, and making sure that the other settings (port, format) are correct. If the camera does not appear in this list, this means that ONVIF is not enabled on the device, and there should be a setting to enable it somewhere.

In terms of the address, how did you come up with the 192.168.x.x address that you are currently using for the camera?

Your other settings look correct, although generally you should leave the port boxes empty to be auto-discovered (but 8000 and 554 should be correct for Reolink cameras).

  • Turns out that ONVIF was disabled and the latest version of the Reolink software in the Mac App Store was out of date. I downloaded the Mac app from the website and there was an option to enable ONVIF. It’s all working great now. Thanks!

  • Great to hear that!
