Feature request- monochrome rectangle for time data info
The time data displayed on 5 of my 6 cameras is contrasted well enough with the background that I'm able to read it without much difficulty.
On the 6th camera, the time data blends into the background and is very difficult to read.
Is it possible to have security spy make a black or white rectangle where the time data is displayed, to make it easier to read, if necessary?

Yes, you can use SecuritySpy's own date/time overlay by enabling it under Preferences > Cameras > Setup. However, this will also require you to turn on video recompression for this camera under Preferences > Cameras > Device. Recompression is required in order for SecuritySpy to add the overlay because first the video needs to be decompressed, the overlay drawn, and then it needs to be compressed again for recording. This is not ideal, as it reduces video quality and uses processing time on your Mac. But, on a modern Mac, with only one camera being recompressed, this shouldn't be a big problem, if a clear overlay is important to you.
Another possibility to check is if you can move the camera's own date/time overlay to a different corner of the image where it could be seen better. It's always preferable to use the camera's overlay if possible.
