TP Link TL-SC3171G & Frames
Hello Guys!
I'm new in this forum, but I'm using SS for few years and I think it is the best software for security cameras management ever.
I have a problem regarding the frame rate.. this is my configuration:
5x TP Link TL-SC3171G cameras connected (Wireless) with an Apple AirportExtreme New Gen to a MBP 13" Mid 2009 2,54GHZ and 4GB of RAM.
The cameras, working over wifi, are doing a great job if I check out its web interface (I mean I can see a very fluid video without a lost frame) - 192.168.xxx (in my case it is a bonjour connection with Apple).
They don't even look like the web panel (so fluid) if I use SS (the frame rate is about 2, max 6). I get 5/6 seconds delay (even more) and the video results very bad, and as it should be a security cam I should see it clearly.
I tried to connect just a camera to SS but the result is the same (Activity Monitor shows always a low CPU and network usage) - plus it does this even in passive mode.
Can somebody help me to configure SS and/or the cameras to let them work seamlessly and fluidly?

I'm not immediately sure what this problem could be. Please can you tell me what version of SecuritySpy you are using, and also which stream from the camera is configured in SecuritySpy (JPEG or MPEG-4). -

The version is 3.4 and the Stream is set to JPEG Http (Video Only), which is the default value set for TL-SC3171G cameras, and I cannot edit. -
Hi - please try the latest beta version of SecuritySpy - for the TP-Link device profile in SecuritySpy I have now enabled MPEG-4 RTSP support, which should give you smoother video. This option is available in the Format setting in the Video Device Settings window.
