Issue with domain name too long and remote access
When I remote accessed one of our locations, the last two characters dropped off. I lost access. I regained access by using the static IP address. Every time I tried to add the last two characters, saving would cause them to drop off. When I go to the site and direct access the software, the characters remain. This appears to be a software glitch with the remote access.
I tried access with iPhones and iPads.

Hi John,
What client (viewing) software are you using to access SecuritySpy that is exhibiting this problem: a web browser, an iOS app (Remote Patrol or Spyglass), or another copy of SecuritySpy? Also, how many characters are there in the domain name you are using? -
I am using Remote Patrol. I am using 19 characters.

Hi John,
This sounds like an issue with Remote Patrol - I suggest you contact them, hopefully they will be able to fix this in a future update. In the mean time you can use SecuritySpy's built-in DDNS feature to give yourself a shorter domain name (you'll find it in the Web Server Settings window and it's very easy to set up).
