PTZ Problem with Yosemite

Hi,
Since upgrading my iMac to Yosemite OSX (10.10.1) my PTZ controls aren't working properly.
there seems to be about a 5 second delay before the camera responds. Because there is a start and stop command, the 5 second delay also means that the camera over shoots, so you can't just move it one or two degrees it moves about 30 degrees with a single click left or right due to the 5 second delay on the start and stop commands.

The camera is a Loftek Sentinel and was working perfectly before upgrading to Yosemite.

If I use the loftek software then PTZ works fine, if I send PTZ commands manually using my browser it works perfectly or if I use CamViewer App on my iPhone/iPad the PTZ works perfectly. It is just SecuritySpy that seems to have this issue.

Is this a known issue and if so will it be fixed soon?

  • Hi - this isn't a known issue, and we have as yet been unable to reproduce it here. I'll have a close look at the code to see if there might be any problems, though it would be rather strange if some interaction with Yosemite were causing this.

I don't suppose you have another Mac handy, running a different system version, that you can test with?
