Confused about remote setup (port fowarding)
I am reading the remote setup pages and have gotten a bit confused. I have multiple cameras on security spy and I would like to access them all live and view recorded video.
Do I have to port foward to the Mac that houses Security Spy, along with each camera seperately?
The directions say:
"If you want to make multiple cameras or SecuritySpy servers on the same LAN available from the internet you must choose a different public port for each one."
and
"You will need to set up port forwarding so that incoming connections from the internet are forwarded to your Mac running SecuritySpy."
and
"Enter the port that the device you are forwarding to responds to. By default, SecuritySpy uses port 8000 for HTTP and 8001 for HTTPS. Most network cameras use port 80 for HTTP and port 554 for RTSP. If you are setting up remote access to SecuritySpy, this should be the same as the private port (8000 or 8001),"
THis has me a bit confused.

THis has me a bit confused.

To access all your cameras from the internet you just need one port forwarding rule that forwards incoming connections to SecuritySpy on port 8000.
You don't need port forwarding for each camera unless you need to access them directly rather than via SecuritySpy for some reason.
