Control4
I am using SecuritySpy to interface my ip cameras to a Control4 Home Automation system. I have several cameras that show up on the C4 system but I am having trouble adding more. The C4 programmer left additional hooks for more cameras. The problem is that C4 is looking for particular "SecuritySpy camera numbers" (5,6,7,etc) but I have no way of specifying those numbers in SS software. Can anybody suggest how to identify a particular camera to a particular SS #?
Thanks
Thanks

Hi Nicky,
If you go to the "Device map" window via the Window menu in SecuritySpy you will see the camera numbers.
You'll need to tell the Control4 system which camera numbers to use, based on this list.
Hope this helps -
Yes, thanks, I see that, but I kinda have the reverse problem. The C4 programmer assigned Camera numbers 1-X in the Control4 program already. When I add a camera in SS, it adds a number out of that range. So, I can see the assigned numbers in the Device map, but I can't force SecuritySpy to assign a number to a specific camera so that Control4 will pick it up. Is there any way to do this?

Hi Nickey, unfortunately there is no way to change the camera numbers in SecuritySpy. I'm not too familiar with Control4 but surely there is an easy way to do this in the Control4 system?

Might be, but homeowner can't get into it...I'll have to get the programmer back here :-(.
Thanks. -
Hi Nicky, I've implemented a hidden method to change camera numbers for you - please see the email I've just sent you.

Thanks Ben - I was able to use your instructions to change the camera numbers, as requested! Great response! Thanks again.
