is it possible to use Google drive as my ftp remote storage??
hi there,
does anyone know if that is possible?
I'm trying to set up some remote storage but have budget limitations and a friend at work mentioned that I might be able to use google drive.
You get 15gb free storage, which would easily be enough for a few days of my set up before it would need wiped
any advice gratefully received.

The easiest way to use Google Drive with SS is to install the Google Drive Sync app for your mac, which will give you a Google Drive folder in your home folder structure.
You can then simply point your SS storage to your Google Drive folder, which will sync your SS captures audio and video.
Assuming you have enough local storage to cope with that 15gb, as this is a sync solution.
I hope this helps.

That is exactly what I do, and it works perfectly.

You could use any cloud storage solution like this including dropbox.

Excellent idea. Would be nice to have an AppleScript developed that would allow you to set the number and size of the images in the directory and auto deletes the oldest when you hit that limit.
I'm just a lurker right now but am contemplating to go with SS in my new house at the end of the month. Great information on this site.
