Feature request: Max frame rate 60FPS instead of the default 30FPS

I have an IQinVision IQM32NE-B5 that at full speed sends image at 60 fps @ 720p using H.264 but SecuritSpy is unable to use that and instead I have to downgrade to MJPEG 30 fps @ 720p.

I would like view and capture images at 60 fps in daylight. It's possible we could get this going?

Thank you for your time and SecuritySpy is great!

  • This should be possible - SecuritySpy does support 60fps video - it's just that we haven't added H.264 support to the IQinVision profile in SecuritySpy yet. Please try the following:

    - In the Video Device Settings window, create a new network device (or use the one you've already created).
    - Set the device type to "Manual".
    - Enter the camera's IP address but leave the Port field empty.
    - Enter the camera's username and password
    - Select "RTSP" from the Format menu (try the TCP variant first, if that doesn't work then UDP).
    - Enter "mp4" (without quotes) as the Request

Please report back and let us know if this works or not.
  • Ben,

I will try that when I get to the system and report back. Camera in question is actually IQeye A31N thats push 60FPS and not the IQM32NE-B5 that I wrote in my last post.

  • OK no problem. In that case if "mp4" doesn't work then try "now.mp4" as the Request, or just leaving the Request box empty.
