Apple TV app - odd multiplex issue

I've used the app for years to display specific cameras on my ATV in my office. I like the 9 camera layout. I use Unifi Protect cameras, but much prefer the SS app for this purpose. Cameras have worked fine in this setup for years.

After adding 2 additional cameras, which were added fine and work fine and show up fine in the Desktop app. No issues. But when I substitute out 2 old cameras in my 9 camera view for these 2 new cameras, they just won't show up in the View. No error or stream issue, they just do no show up as if they were not added to the Group.

I've restarted all apps and devices. I've deleted and rebuilt the Group. Same behavior. I've checked the log and no errors noted.

I'm beginning to wonder if I've bumped up against a limitation when you are over cameras on the license? There's no other indication of this, and I have several cameras disabled so I don't think they count anyway.

Other ideas?

  • i just had a similar issue when I added a new camera. I had to reselect the camera group in the Apple TV app to get the new camera to show up.

  • Thanks for leaving the comment. I did try this but didn’t help in my circumstance.

    I have noticed now that NONE of my Unifi Protect G3 Flex cameras (which show fine in the app) display when using the Apple TV app - even if I select “all cameras” as the group.
