Very impressed with M4 Mini performance
I went from a 2022(?) Intel Mini to an M4 Mini because the number of cameras was really looking mis-matched for the equipment I was using. Night and day difference, I have to say. I was getting lots of stuttering and missed frames on saved videos, and it took a while for IPCamViewer to come up on my Android device, and motion detection was just failing in too many circumstances. Now loading views is more or less instant locally or via web stream, and there is no frame loss on my saved videos, and motion capture is much better. I went with the 10G NIC on the Mini, which is probably overkill but I am going 10G for everything so why not?
For those of you who are still on older hardware: make the jump, it's a significant improvement in performance.
Specs: 33 cameras, ranging from 720 (one or two) to mostly 2-4MP up to maybe 6 or 7 running at 8.3MP. Almost all outdoor (trees, fields, tower cameras.) 10fps on everything. AI and motion detection on all, plus timelapse (1 frame every 5 seconds) on all cameras. No pressure shown on any cameras no matter what the activity levels.

Thanks for posting your experiences - it's great you are seeing such good performance with the M4 mini. These really are fantastic machines. I would also add the advice to err on the side or more RAM rather than less, especailly for larger systems, as this can make a significant difference to performance.
