Case sensitivity of Username

Is there a good reason why a SecuritySpy username is case sensitive. It is much more common for usernames to be case insensitive. This has caught me out on a number of occasions, usually when I have made a username the same as the Mac username which I typically capitalise. Or possibly when a device auto-capitalises the first character when trying to login.

  • Thanks for the feedback - you're right, best practice these days is for case insensitive usernames. We've made this change in the latest beta version of SecuritySpy (currently 6.14b6). Please test and confirm this now works as expected.

  • Yes, that's working fine thanks
