How do you quickly view the last 30 secs or so from a capture?
In addition tor several IP cameras feeding Security Spy, we also have some Google Nest cameras. When I get a notification from Nest, or if I hear something outside, it is easy to open the Nest app and jump back (or forward) in 15 second increments in the recording.
When I open Security Spy, I get the live view, but to try to scrub through my captures (my system records continuously saving a new file every hour) is not effective.
Is there another app or feature or workflow for reviewing the last 30 seconds or so, so as to see and hear something that just happened?
Thank you!

This works much better with Motion Capture (MC) recording. When you go to the app after seeing a notification, there will be one file that contains just the event in question, that you can easily scrub through or play it to quickly see the event.
With Continuous Capture (CC) recording you'd have to scrub to near the end of the current file. We're planning to add a "jump back" button as well as the current "jump forward" button so this should make it easier, but it still won't be as convenient as MC recordings.
You could consider enabling MC in addition to CC - this would only add a few percent to your overall storage requirements (since CC uses so much more storage space). Then you get the best of both worlds. In the app you can filter the list so that you just see the MD recordings.

Thank you, that makes sense, I’ll try that and now that I have SS running on Apple Silicon I’ll see if I can use the AI features to my advantage.
