Hikvision SDK Port
Hi:
I have more than one Hikvision camera at one site and have to do port forwarding, I have forwarded the http, rtsp and sdk ports. In security spy I can´t find where to specify the new sdk port.
Any ideas?

SecuritySpy does not use the SDK port, so you don't need to forward that. For video streaming, SecuritySpy uses the RTSP port only. If you additionally need Pan/Tilt/Zoom control, this works over the HTTP port so you will need that too (also the HTTP port is useful for remote admin of the camera, so you may want to add this anyway even if you don't need PTZ control). As you are making your cameras available to the Internet, make sure they are running updated firmware versions, and make sure to use strong passwords.

Thanks for your reply, I know I will not make sense since Security Spy doesn't use the SDK port but with another Hikvision Camera I was not able to view it in Security Spy until I forwarded port 8000 that is the SDK in that particular camera

Are you using the "ONVIF" profile in SecuritySpy by any chance? This needs two different ports: the ONVIF port and the RTSP port. In this case, it could be that the ONVIF port is 8000, and this could explain what you are seeing perhaps. On the other hand, if you are using the "Hikvision" profile, then the only port required (if no PTZ control is in use) is the RTSP port.
