Cameras Feeding Two Software Packages
I currently use Synology Surveillance Station. I am thinking of moving to Security Spy but I was wondering if Surveillance Station and Security Spy can you the same cameras at the same time? Almost all of the cameras are wired, and almost all are made by Amcrest.

I use some Dahua cameras and Amcrest are typically OEM Dahua kit, how many simultaneous streams a camera supports can vary, however most POE IP cameras made in the last 10 years supports at least two concurrent streams, personally I have my cameras in SecuritySpy as well as Synology Surveillance Station (continuous recording only) purely for backup purposes and this works as intended, i would recommend installing the 30 day trial of SecuritySpy and adding all your cameras whilst leaving them connection to your existing VMS, then you'll know if your intended setup will work how you want. On a side note another nice thing is that you can leverage the incredibly accurate AI detections from SecuritySpy with third party platforms, for example when SecuritySpy detects a person, it runs an action that calls the Synology api url, this creates a flag on my Synology timeline for easy footage retrieval or using the application HomeHelper included with SecuritySpy, you can trigger HomeKit devices so i use this to activate outdoor floodlights at night.
As @JC_5674 correctly states, pretty much all IP cameras these days can provide multiple simultaneous streams, so you will be able to run SecuritySpy side-by-side with another NVR.
