Recommendation for external storage

I realise this has been asked in the past but with all the new options available I would appreciate an update on the latest recommendations for external storage for video.

I am running SS on a Mac Mini and of course it doesn't have enough disk internally. What is the recommended external storage for the video files?

    Short answer: go for a USB-Connected external SSD from a trusted brand (e.g. Crucial, Samsung).

    When you say "This has been discussed fairly recently" what most people would have said is something along the lines of "You didn't search very hard as it was discussed a few weeks ago" and maybe RTFM!
