Position of SecuritySpy with multiple displays

Hi.

I have SecuritySpy running on my iMac that has 3 displays, with the main display set as the center display. When I get to the office and log in, it sometimes, but not always moves the SecuritySpy window back to the 'main' display, instead of hanging off to the right side where I want it.

It seems to be only a problem when the computer goes to sleep on its own. If I manually lock the screen, or I manually select sleep and wake the machine up, the window stays put.

If I set the main display to the side where I want SecuritySpy to be, that works too, but that means icons on the desktop end up under the securityspy window which is somewhat annoying.

Any ideas how to get it to stick?

  • I'm not immediately sure of the solution here, because it's not an issue that we are able to reproduce, nor is it being reported by other users.

Under System Settings > Desktop & Dock, try turning off the option "Displays have separate spaces". Does that do it? This is the configuration that I use, with 3 screens, and I have never seen any issues with window positioning.

Let me know if that helps or not.
