HomeHelper Issue

I'm running SS on an M4 mini Sequoia. SS runs fine. When I open HomeHelper, and try to add either an action or trigger, the resulting dialog doesn't accept mouse input. I can't click the name field, but if I can type text. The '+' to add accessories doesn't respond. The app isn't frozen as I can still choose 'about', but since the dialog box is open Quit is disabled. The only recourse is a force quit. Same behavior on M1 Studio Max. HomeHelper worked fine on the prior Intel Mini running Sequoia.

Anyone else having problems with HomeHelper on M/Sequoia?

  • I can confirm that this is a known issue in recent versions of macOS 15. We have fixed it (as well as adding some new features to the software), and the new version is currently waiting to be approved by Apple for release via the App Store. When this happens (next few days) I'll update this thread.

  • Update: HomeHelper 1.1 is now available from the App Store. It should fix the problem with the unresponsive user interface. Please install and test this version, and let me know if you spot any further issues.
