Best Practice for Continuous Capture and Motion Capture
Is it possible to have both Continuous Capture and Motion Capture enabled? For example, have Continuous Capture for my camera's for the past X hours, but then also have Motion Capture enabled that would capture all motion events for the previous X days?
I'm currently running SecuritySpy on a M1 Mac Mini for 16 camera's. The Mac Mini itself has 1TB of storage, but I also have a Synology NAS on my network with about 8TB of storage that'd dedicated to storing all recordings.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Sure, each camera has a tab to enable continuous and motion recordings, just click both on. If you want to retain only X days worth, you can set to auto-delete after X days on that storage volume.
Yes exactly. The relevant settings are described in the manual at Continuous Capture and Motion Capture - each mode operates independently.
