Audio with Annke NC800 / ACZ800 / FCD600

edited January 23 in Cameras

Hi all,

does someone get the microphone working with the cameras Annke NC800 / ACZ800 / FCD600 to use audio as alarm trigger in SecuritySpy?

I'm using the profiles Onvif / Hikvision, which works well except the audio ...

All the best,

Tobias

  • Hi Tobias,

    The things to check are:

    • That audio is actually enabled in the camera. Log on to the camera using a web browser and look for audio settings. Set the encoding format to AAC (if available) otherwise PCM. If there is a sample rate selection, choose 16 kHz.
    • Sometimes you also have to specifically enable audio for the video stream. Locate the camera's video stream settings and see if there is an audio option there that needs enabling.
    • Back in SecuritySpy, go to Settings > Cameras > Audio and make sure the input is set to "This network device".
  • HI Ben,

thanks a lot for your support - Audio works now. I already had AAC with 16 kHz but no Audio explicitly activated. However, the video settings were indeed set to "Video-Stream" (no audio).

So I've chosen the value "Video & Audio" in "Configuration" -> "Video & Audio" -> "Video type", which makes fully sense :-)

  • Good to hear that. It doesn't make much sense to me why cameras would have audio off by default, but this is quite common.
