That audio is actually enabled in the camera. Log on to the camera using a web browser and look for audio settings. Set the encoding format to AAC (if available) otherwise PCM. If there is a sample rate selection, choose 16 kHz.
Sometimes you also have to specifically enable audio for the video stream. Locate the camera's video stream settings and see if there is an audio option there that needs enabling.
Back in SecuritySpy, go to Settings > Cameras > Audio and make sure the input is set to "This network device".
thanks a lot for your support - Audio works now. I already had AAC with 16 kHz but no Audio explicitly activated. However, the video settings were indeed set to "Video-Stream" (no audio).
So I've chosen the value "Video & Audio" in "Configuration" -> "Video & Audio" -> "Video type", which makes fully sense :-)

Good to hear that. It doesn't make much sense to me why cameras would have audio off by default, but this is quite common.
