camera restart won't reconnect

I bought a very low cost camera from TEMU, it's one of those AI cameras that does on-board person/vehicle/animal recognition and can track the moving object. It has decent video quality, especially for $20 and getting it set up with Security Spy was simple enough. My issue is that if the camera restarts then Security Spy will not re-connect to it. The camera's own app will connect and show video, and I can ping the camera. It works in every way except talking with Security Spy. Note the IP address of the camera remains the same after reboot, there's a static assignment with the MAC address.

Has anyone else encountered similar behaviors and found a fix or workaround?

Here’s listing for the camera: https://www.temu.com/hd--wireless--------detection-------g-601099608221835.html

It’s ONVIF supported but just won’t send video to Security Spy after a restart (like you set it up in one place and want to move it to another location)

  • I have a cam with similar problem. Sometime ONVIF is buggy, you could try rtsp protocol
