Remote Access: ID and PW
I swear I have this issue every decade after upgrading my mac mini. At first having an issue with not being able to see the SecuritySpy instance: SS, Servers, click on the server and it couldn't find it...set up a new one, still couldn't find it. Realizing that my port forwarding was not likely the same as the last server I fixed that and now I get a screen to enter my credentials. I'm assuming that this is for the credentials of the server but I get an error that it is an incorrect username or PW. I'm afraid I've screwed myself up by giving the new mac mini the same name as the old one and expecting an easy migration:)
Any thoughts?

It's a little difficult from this description to know exactly what you have done and how you are trying to connect, but from what I can tell here you have replaced your Mac mini with a new model, while retaining your existing settings, and are now attempting to connect from the iOS app over the Internet, is that the case?
If so, then the fact that you are getting a message in the app about invalid login means that a connection is being successfully made to the SecuritySpy server, but the login details are being rejected. This indicates that the port forwarding is working.
To view or edit the login details, go to SecuritySpy on you new Mac mini, and edit the particular web account that you are you using here. As necessary, update the password to the one you want to use. You should then be able to connect from the iOS app.
If you continue to have any issues, please email us and include screenshots of all relevant settings and error messages, as well as a debug file (SecuritySpy > menu > Debug Create Debug File On Desktop) and we will help you directly to resolve this issue.

Ben,
Thanks for your reply. Sorry for being so vague...sometimes I try and get to a point before sharpening the tip:)
Yes, you are correct and I agree the port forwarding is working.
"view or edit the login details, go to SecuritySpy on you new Mac mini" was my issue. I assumed that since the account name was the same as the server name that the PW was the same. When I did a reveal....
Needless to say, sorry for wasting your time.
