TVos (Apple TV) How to Start Play or Enable Audio?
This should be a simple one, but I'm totally perplexed on my AppleTV's with a freshly reinstalled SecuritySpy app.
How does one start playback in captured files? The play button on AppleTV remote doesn't start playing. It just briefly flickers the pause icon. I tried all the other remote buttons. Even double and triple clicking. Long clicking the play button. Oddly enough, I can move the playback point forwards/backwards via the clickwheel or swiping. Just can't find the play button for AppleTV's.
Also, the mute button doesn't seem to turn audio on/off during full screen live views. I can't tell if it works during playback because I can't seem to start playback. Tried all the buttons that the AppleTV remote has without success. Swiping does let me adjust some audio options like loud noise avoidance. Just can't unmute.
There are no settings for SecuritySpy that I can find. SecuritySpy doesn't show up in the TVos settings app list.
No problems on iOS, but usage on AppleTV is beyond me.
Comments
On Apple TV, the SecuritySpy app will automatically enable audio upon playback. There was an issue in the 1.8.1 version that resulted in low audio levels, so it's possible that in your case the audio was in fact playing, but the level was too low to hear clearly. This is now fixed in a new 1.8.2 update, so please install this new version and let me know whether this issue is now resolved for you.
1.8.2 confirmed to fix the missing (inaudible) audio and enabled playback of captured videos on TVos.
Thanks for the fix. Works again on Apple TV.
Great, thanks for letting us know!
