More flexible AI trigger logic (e.g. Human NOT Animal)
Hi,
I installed the release 6.5 but I don't see any change on the AI logic. Would you explain what you mean for More flexible AI trigger logic (e.g. Human NOT Animal)?
Thanks,
LM

This is described in the user manual under Settings > Cameras > Triggers:

This doesn't work for me. Just toggles between check and blank-- I never see a minus. What am I doing wrong?

Hi @ChrisNicholson you need to hold the alt key on the keyboard ("option" on some keyboards) while clicking on a checkbox that is currently off. You should then see it turn into a minus rather than a check.

@Ben Yeah, I get it. Still not working. My server is headless so I use VNC-like means of connecting, including native Mac screen sharing. Modifier keys seem to pass through in general. I also tried web interface and also doesn’t work for me.

I can't explain why this isn't working for you, especially that it's not working even via the web interface. Please try this in both Safari and Chrome - I've just tested this myself and it works for me in both these browsers.
Are you willing to allow us temporary web access into your system, so that we can test this ourselves? If so, please email login details to support@bensoftware.com.

This does not work for me either. I have tried the web interface as well, still a no go. Using Remote Desktop wasn't working, so it was a little maddening trying different browsers, turning extensions on and off, and finally physically going to the machine and hooking up a keyboard to see if that would work. It didn't.
More flexibility with triggers and scheduling different triggers based on times has been on my wish list for a long time. This was a step in that direction, so I'm a little bummed I couldn't get it to work.
As an aside, with software that has as many settings as SecuritySpy does it make sense to have things like this hidden with modifier keys?
M1 mini, apple wireless keyboard, Sonoma 14.7, SecuritySpy 6.6b1
One more thing. For whatever reason having the Software Update stuck between the Registration information and the Purchase upsell area seems like an odd choice. The latter two being things that you literally may not look at for years, and the software update is something that is used on a semi regular basis. Software Update isn't even listed in the side menu, registration is.
Maybe now that I've complained about it I'll remember where it's at, but so far every time I've gone looking for it I've gotten slightly frustrated.
That said, I'm super grateful for SecuritySpy and your work Ben.
