Way to Schedule taking a video at X tme each day and FTPing it?

I have my cameras set up for motion detection and it FTPs to a server, and it works great, but I'd also like to get some video taken at preset times even if there is no motion and have that video FTPd. Is this possible?

You can use a combination of a custom schedule and Continuous Capture to achieve this:

• Under Settings > Scheduling, create a schedule that defines when you want these files to be recorded. For example, you can choose to record 10 minutes of video every day at midday.
• Under Settings > Cameras > Continuous Capture, set these files to upload to your FTP server.
• Set the schedule for Continuous Capture to your custom schedule (see Recording and Schedules).

Works great. Now I'm going to see if there is a way to make the camera automatically cycle through the various preset locations throughout the 10 minute video.

Great to hear that!

At the moment, PTZ auto-patrol in SecuritySpy is either off or on, but we are considering adding the option to activate this on a schedule. Meanwhile, you could use scripting to control PTZ movement, which will give you more control such as the ability to schedule movement for particular times of the day.
