SecuritySpy Captures of Aurora Activity March 10 & 11 2024
Our SecuritySpy system was perfect for capturing the aurora via its two scenery cameras. Those are EmpireTech Color 4KT cameras already set for night time star capture. Exported the continuous capture files and edited together in Final Cut Pro.
We usually suffer cloud cover and don't get to see such things, but conditions were perfect. Pretty amazing viewed live as well, albeit much dimmer and less color than on camera.a

How do you find those cameras for star field time laps, generally?

I think they do fairly well. Not long exposure DSLR level imaging, but look for yourself.
